Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

One of the most often asked questions from newbies are:
1) HOw do I put a picture?
2) HOw do I put an image under my text?
3) What's an Avatar?

I hope this helps Smile

AVATARS

An "Avatar" is a little image you can add to your posts. It's different than a signature in the sense that it appears on the left-hand column of the thread underneath your username.

The Avatar size (this is important, because otherwise the Avatar will be deleted) needs to be exactly 75 pixels x 75 pixels. The image size is important so it does not distort the column width or size and make the forum look weird Whichever image you decide to use, please just resize it to 75x75.

These are the steps for adding an Avatar:
1) After you have logged in, click on your MyPop icon
2) Click on Profile
3) Scroll down to where it says "Avatar / Picture URL"
4) To the right hand side of that, there's a section for your to add the image path.

SIGNATURES

The signature appears right below anything you post. The image does have a size restriction. It cannot be wider then 400 pixels, nor taller than 120-130 pixels.

To add a signature:
1) After you have logged in, click on your MyPop icon
2) Click on Profile
3) Scroll down to where it says "Signature"
4) To the right hand side of that, there's a section for your to add the image path.

POSTING IMAGES

Here's a step-by-step tutorial I prepared on posting images:

Step-by-step Instructions on Posting Images

We love seeing pictures. The only thing to keep in mind is the width of the photo. Please try to keep the photo's width under 500 pixels (a photo can be easily resized with any graphics program).

SMILEY ICONS

Emoticons are the little faces you're able to put in the messages such as this one = Big Grin for a happy face. When writing a new post, or responding, to the "left" of the URL icon, you'll see this image: . Click on it and a drop down window of smilies will appear. Just select the one you want to post.

If you have any questions, please let me know. We were all newbies at one point Smile

Thanks.

I luv your new signature!! I'll be buying that program this weekend. Smile

To get the "image path" on any graphic on the internet, all you do is this. See your signature image photo that I just uploaded for you? Do this:

1) put your mouse over it.
2) right click
3) right click and scroll down to where it says Properties.
4) Look where it says "Address" -- that's the URL image path.

For your signature pic, it's

It does come up exactly as you tried to do it before under the Funny Pet Forum, except that you can't use that icon to upload photos that are on your C: drive in your computer. I noticed the code between the [img] tags and it was pointing to your hard drive's "C:" drive. You can only use that icon to paste the URL address of an image (and those are photos that reside on a server on the Internet). It just takes a little bit of getting used to but you'll catch on. Wink

So, in a nutshell, here's the bottom line:
1) If the photo is on your computer, use the paperclip icon to upload: .

2) If the photo is on a server on the Internet (and by this I mean in any type of photo album on the Web, such as hotmail, image station, etc.), then you use this icon:
