Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

Ohhhh I think this is a great idea!! There are sooo many good books out there. I think it would be wonderful to be able to suggest them and then talk about what we got out of the book.

A personal favorite, that will always be my fav that includes dogs is Where The Red Fern Grows. We had to read it in school, & I have read it again since then!! Smile

Chicken soup for the pet lover is a good book. Full of stories, some sad, some funny, with something to think in each.

Hi everyone,

I also like Chicken Soup for a Cat & Dog Lover's Soul its great. I also have Chicken Soup for a Horse Lover's soul, I just have not read it yet. Some of my other favorites are the James Herriot books and Grant Kendall's The Animals in my Life and More Animals in My Life.

Hi Amandalee...My name is Andi and I'm pretty new here.

I love to read in my spare time, but haven't read the James Harriet books yet. I don't know why, because I grew up watching the show on TV with my parents and I loved it.

I think it's about time I look into getting the books Smile
