Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

I spent hours today calling all of these lodges and places in Colorado and Finally found a few that allow pets. That are Pet Friendly locations. You know its difficult to travel with pets. If anyone need to know for Estes Park, Co, Moab Ut or Phoenix, Az I will be more than glad to tell you.

Usually, Motel 6 has always welcomed us with dogs. I usually make sure we are in a ground floor room, that is towards the rear of the building(easier for those walks & less traffic) also letting them know that you either have a crate or will be with your pet at all times helps. A big dog lounging at a maid, coming in the door to clean, is dangerous for the dog & maid! I always make sure that no one comes in the room, while we are staying there. I've never had any problem traveling with dogs, as I make sure that they remain quiet & don't disturb other guests or freak out Maids! lol

I have found that it is quite difficult to find hotels that are nicer quality that allow dogs to stay in. Its not the dogs that are difficult its the hotel people. I spent 5 hours calling places that we wanted to stay at in Moab and in Estes Park. Man that was a chore. I found some really nice cabins to stay in that are pet friendly. Some of the towns put out a list of hotels. There is a Hilton in Phoenix that is really nice that allows dogs I think they charged a deposit but at check out you got it all back. And a few others depending on what part of town you want to be in. I had to laugh at one place it said "Well behaved pets are welcomed unless they redocorate." Though that was quite funny. lol

I tried developing this when I first created CFP, but there wasn't much of a response to. I do think it's a great idea, but without input from our viewers the list would be pretty short. Frown

there were some in Flagstaff, Az & they had those 2 bark parks too! I have some time, I can look it up. depending if the motels have to be 5 star or not. I've found some that are very nice. I found some in Phoenix, Like when I had to go for surgery & also when we went to pick up Hannah. I always stay at the ones that access the outside directly(not the ones that you are on the 3rd floor & have to exit down an interior hallway!

As you and your pet head off together, it's important for you to do your part to ensure that dogs and cats will continue to be welcomed as traveling companions. Obey local animal control ordinances, keep your animal under control at all times, and be thoughtful and courteous to other travelers. kittyflip
