Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

Omigosh, look what I just read!! I eat microwave popcorn at least once every two weeks. Yvonne, your lungs are sensitive - you should definitely read this just in case.

The Buzz

The man's lungs were destroyed by the BUTTER flavoring used in microwave popcorn. Eek

hey Barbi, did you check out some of the other headlines on the right side of that article-further down(the AZ central ) is a big time(NBC & Az Republic Paper) not a "rag paper" but the Headlines seem like it's a "fantasy tabloid" I guess people are just doing WEIRD THINGS!

Mechele, if you went to the popcorn story, look down the page on the right side & click on the story ABOUT A DOG LOVER GETTING ARRESTED FOR PETTING SOMEBODY'S DOG & GIVING IT WATER! REALLY!

Yep, I can. Infact, Hubby & I think about it every time we "sneak" water over to the dog in-back of us! I do it now, instead of Hubby, don't need him getting arrested. But they tie the dog out where he has to "go" on our property, & I could put the bucket of water on our property, where he could reach it, but I wouldn't want poor Hooch, hurting his neck to get it(there's a chain around his neck, not a collar!) You know that pushes me to the"edge", but I'm told that it's their dog & it's their "RIGHT"! MadMaybe someday, someone will realize that a dog has rights too, & put a chain around their...wrists!

I have asthma & love making micro popcorn(some brands are better than others!) BUT, the one thing that I thought was harmless in my life may get me huh? hmmmm I always thought that it would be the MICROWAVE itself! Not the popcorn- Go figure! I guess next it will be the fruit juices! Oh well, I'm on the back side of 50 sooo! WHAT EVER! Dunno

Well...that man was awarded $20 million by the court so he must have had some pretty convincing evidence. Eek What a shame -- I love popcorn.

P.S. I think of what Jesus said...if they shall eat any deadly thing it shall in no wise hurt them. Seems like today that can be just about anything! Big Grin

So does this mean it's bad to eat microwave popcorn? From what I understood it was the way the stuff was made that made him sick.
Guess it doesn't really matter, seems just about everything we eat or drink (or in my case smoke) makes you sick Roll Eyes
