Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

OMG I just saw that on the news, they cloned a pet cat!!! for $50,000!!! GRRR makes me so darn mad!! there are millions of animals that need homes!!! any of them could make just as wonderful pet as the one that passed.

MUTTER

And I believe it's unnatural!! we are born, live and die and that is the natural order of things.

I never saw the story about the cat cloning, but I did see the one about letting people choose the sex of their child.....I think it's so wrong! I personally don't agree with any cloning, but I am totally against being able to choose the sex of your baby!

I think it's wrong and those behind it will be held accountable someday. I'm also totally against being able to choose the sex of the baby -- they're trying to play God and that role was filled a long time ago. I feel sorry for the cats...God knows what they have probably gone through. I'm pretty sure they are used as guinea pigs until their sick experiment works.

Lalania, I wish I had seen that. I would have probably started a petition to try to help put a stop to that!! I think it's sick. Mad

There are soooo many cats and dogs etc in the "shelters" that need homes, why clone a pet? Frown I would never clone Juneau if I had the $$. There is only one Juneau ...ever. I will miss him when he is gone tho.

This is so wrong. I lost my most precious Hunter 6 months ago yesterday. He was one of a kind, the sweetest, most gentle golden in the world. Yet I would never have cloned him. The clone would be just that--a clone. It would not be my Hunter. I think some people think a clone will not only look identical to the "parent" but act, think and BE the parent. Wrong. It would be identical in looks but it would not be exactly like the "parent". It could have the same gentle temperament, but some little thing could make it be a more nervous dog, or a less trusting dog, etc. It would not be the "same dog" as it's "parent"

They must have cloned more than 1 cat, cuz they cloned one a yr or 2 ago. after the cows & sheep etc. you know what's happening(over across the ocean somewhere they say that they have a couple of women carring clone humans! I wonder how the put souls in them! Just another act of Man's Rebellion! Man's EGO is so pathetic! Children do not see the harm of their actions before they do them. Looks like MAN doesn't EITHER!Old too soon & smart too late! Another example of Man shaking his fist at GOD and saying "I WILL!" ***(but THAT'S RIGHT THEY DONT' BELIEVE THERE IS ONE OR THEY SURE WOULDN'T DO THIS!" sO IF THEY SAY THERE IS no God< THEN I guess they don't have to worry about HIM> NO HIGHER AUTHORITY to answer to! BUT if they're right then oh, well we all just die. BUT IF I'M RIGHT THEY'RE IN BIG TROUBLE & THEY'LL wish that they COULD DIE!

I think that way but in my case, I think it's humans messing with nature, which we have no business doing, and it WILL bite us collectively in the butt later!

Yeh, the story was on our News last night & Our local news casters said the same thing last night about all the Millions of homeless pets in this country. But there's money in clones, not much money in the "used pets market" although lately I'm wondering about some of the non-PROFIT"shelters"! when was the last time you saw a $50,000. pound puppy?

REMEMBER a man by the Name of Hitler tried to manipulate the natural order of things by genetic-matching. He wanted a "SUPER RACE"!CAN YOU imagine if he had the genetic Technology of today? Well, there are still "HITLER TYPES" around! This type of "POWER" is not meant to be in a HUMAN'S Grasp, cuz Man is Evil & can't be trusted with it~

Well...as if this isn't bad enough, in Japan they are experimenting with mammals so they do not need a sperm to become pregnant. They're claiming victory, but I forgot with which animal. I'll try to find that and open another post.

I'm with you Kathy -- they need to just leave things alone. God would not be proud.
