Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

Cocaine stashes found in dogs' stomachs

Associated Press

LONDON - A British man and woman face lengthy prison sentences after being convicted Wednesday of trying to smuggle more than two pounds of cocaine in the stomachs of two dogs.

London residents Gregory Graham, 27, and Kaye Chapman, 20, were found guilty of conspiracy to import the drug. Two others were acquitted.

The cocaine was discovered inside Labradors Rex and Frispa at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport in September. An X-ray taken after an airport worker thought the dogs were behaving oddly revealed that 21 canisters of cocaine with a value of $232,000 were stitched into the animals' stomach cavities.

Rex recovered, but Frispa had to be put down. A vet found the canisters had fused to her abdominal wall.

The dogs had arrived on a flight from Colombia and were awaiting a plane to London. Dutch officials tipped off British police, who set up a sting operation to catch the suspects at Stansted Airport.

Judge Peter Jacobs said the pair would face lengthy prison terms at their Sept. 3 sentencing.

SICKOS! PEOPLE SWALLOW BALLOONS FILLED with Cocaine all the time, and when it bursts in their stomaches.....they die! But why kill innocent Creatures! There HAS to be a Judgement especially for these Pieces of Poop! I saw a convict die after a visitor smuggled in several balloons full of cocaine into visitation. The Inmate swallowed them but couldn't "pass them" so the same visitor smuggled in some laxative pills & the Inmate swollowed them, but the balloons burst in his intestines cuz then they moved too quickly & he died!(it wasn't a pretty site either-very bloody) that visitor-his pregnant wife was charged, tried & went to prison for his murder! But at least an INNOCENT Dog didn't die! People are so sick & stupid.....and we call these furbabies, ANIMALS? Yme

This has been a topic on all the dog boards today and was in our paper this morning. A while back on animal planet was about an Old English who had that nasty stuff in a balloon in his tummy, but it was caught and removed. At that time I could hardly believe what I was seeing. It just burns me that they could treat dogs like this. But then, what will the drug do the humans they sell it to. If they don't care about humans, they surely would not care about dogs.
