Hi, we're so glad you're
visiting.
Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.
The CFP Forum is officially "inactive"
-- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it. All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.
Hi guys, Seems like everybody is talking about this new film. I have been watching so many interviews and reviews this past week. Lots of controvercy. We haven't seen it yet. It opened today (Wednesday) in New York and other places and I was wondering if anyone has seen it and would like to talk about it. A Christian from Rhode Island called us tonight and told us that her sister saw it and was deeply moved. She said: "If you knew my sister, you'd know that that was a big deal that she was moved like that." Blessings, Annette
Good morning Annette. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. There's a lot of controversy over the film, but the persons that I have spoken with that have seen the movie left with the feeling that they now have a better understanding of how Jesus Christ died for our sins. Others were turned off by the gore and bloody scenes. I think this movie will go down in history as a classic since -- from what I've heard and read -- it depicts pretty much what the bible says happened to our Lord.
Blessings right back at you.

WE've HAD TICKETS FOR 2 WEEKS NOW. they are for March 1st @ 12-noon. I've previously studied in depth, the crucifixion of Jesus. There is too much panic about this movie. I wish that PEOPLE would understand the true message of this film. It is not Hate of the Jews or the Romans or the Greeks. It's about The Extreme Love that GOD HAD & STILL HAS FOR ALL OF MANKIND! IT'S ABOUT TOTAL FORGIVENESS and about GOD'S PLAN FOR ALL OF MANKIND. I have watched a bunch of Movie-Trailers have found a couple of questionable lines(this was Jesus' last 12 hrs)the lines that I saw happened quite a while previous to the last hrs & in a different location. But aside from that I've been told by some Theology Students, I know it is nearly Bible-accurate. There has been also some personal beliefs of Mel's that have come out in some interviews, that I strongly disagree with, But am told that those beliefs are "NOT IN THE MOVIE"! I'VE been told that people are very used to the watered-down, powder-puff version of The Passion(maybe that's why people employed the easter bunny personna instead of the HORRIBLE ROMAN CROSS, BONNETS INSTEAD OF THE CROWN OF THORNS?) ANYWAY, as described to my & from the trailers I've seen, it's Absolutely GORY, BLOODY, HIDEOUS AND SHOCKING! BUT THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED, THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THE CRUCIFIXION WAS LIKE. I'M TOLD BY THESE PEOPLE THAT THERE WAS NO ONE EATING POPCORN OR TALKING, JUST CRYING, WEEPING AND HOLDING EACH OTHER. Different people react differently. Just as they did on 9-11. No one should go expecting this to be "just another form of entertainment" If they do , It's my opinion that they are sick & need their heart changed. It's my HOPE that they will see the movie, and come away with a renewed Spirit and a NEW & STRONGER LOVE & APPRECIATION OF WHAT HE & ONLY HE DID FOR US(ALL OF US) EVEN IF WE don't accept it. I was told that the nails actually & really were put in His wrists not His Hands, as we picture it today(this is TRUE) but I remember someone telling me along time ago, even without the NAILS- HIS LOVE would have held HIM there! The DEBT HAD TO BE PAID or there would be no hope for anyone. The Nail in the Movie is placed there in Jesus' Hand by MEL himself, he understands that the Jews, didn't KILL JESUS, it was ALL of us, OUR sin, that made the SACRIFICE NECESSARY. This is the Message of the MOVIE. I don't know about young children seeing it yet. If anyone wants my opinion after I see it, I'll be glad to give it. I'd rather be on my way to Israel(there's some awesome Christian Tours)to further my Christian Experience!

Yeah, I know what you mean about video. We were also thinking of waiting for the video too. Not to mention that, I have gotten so used to that darn rewind feature on the VCR that whenever I watch something that isn't on tape I think that I am gonna miss something. I too am having mixed feelings about seeing it. Got another review from another Christian who saw it Wednesday. He seemed to have an odd reaction to it and cautioned me not to go with my emotions wide open. Good suggestion I thought. Besides, I am not looking for an emotional experience. I'm looking for serious change in my heart and in my understanding and, I believe only the Lord can do that. But and if He chooses to do that for someone by way of this movie, so be it and hallelujah! Much love, Annette
Absolutely Roe. About 12 years ago when Johnny and I were speaking to a Jewish woman about Jesus and she asked the question: "Did the Jews kill Jesus?" Johnny replied, "It was your sin and mine that did." (We both knew the Lord put that answer in him.) So when I read an interview done with the actor who played Jesus and he said that it was our sin that made the sacrifice necessary, I rejoiced in the truth being said and knew they had been given this insight.
The Actor that played Jesus, was on CBN AND HE EXPLAINED HOW HE WAS HIT BY LIGHTENING WHILE ON THE CROSS- It illuminated he entire head. Ouch! He feels as though he was called to do this part and doesn't care about being "shunned" by Hollywood. If ever a movie is made about 9-11 I wonder if there'll be as much outcry as there is now, it will be interesting to see!

Yeah, I heard that too (about the lightning) in another interview. Yikes! Just got his name...James Caviezel. I found this link that has a message box that is supposed to send feedback to Mel in case anyone is interested. (They allow 1000 characters or less. I found that out after I wrote my message so I then had to edit it.) http://www.passionmaterials.com/lettertomel.asp Annette
Went to the site & asked a couple of questions I had, waiting for a reply. BUT looked in on a forum discussion about the Movie on a news station. WOW ! What an explosion of feelngs & ideas! SOME that were the "LOUDeST" had never seen the movie yet, are anti-Christian and seem mad at everyone! I saw a couple that tickled me some: They suggestedA SEQUEL TITLE- THE PASSION 2-HE'S BACK and HE'S MAD! (First time HE came as a LAMB, second time It will be as a LION- I'm just glad ain't mad at me! Just something to think about!
