For the past couple of hours and on my way to work, I've been listening to the 911 Commission Hearings. Is anyone else tuning in? I just get the feeling the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing and vice-versa. Does it serve us to scapegoat anyone now? I listen to what they're saying and it's incredible - no wonder we were attacked. I just wish they would all work together in a nonpartisan way to fix these problems so we don't have a repeat performance. What a dangerous world we live in and to think the U.S. is so vulnerable.

I'm afraid you're right Rosemary - just a matter of time and where. It's a scary, scary world we live in now - and do you notice that people in general are just soooo edgy and due to the economy, people are just plain mean. It just seems to be a dog eat dog (no pun intended) world out there. I especially notice it on the highway, such rude and nasty drivers and at work people are soooo touchy.

Mary Gene, I was commenting on that this afternoon with a passenger in the elevator. I don't know if it's the rat race of Corporate America, unemployment, the war or whatever, but there is a change in attitude. Society is more hostile as a whole -- how sad

I tell you, listening to the Commission Hearings and also Bush's speech, I don't have much confidence that we're going to lick this any time soon. I worry about the next generation to come, especially my childrens' children. What a mess!!

I think it's a combination of all you mentioned Barbi - I just know that when someone is extra kind and nice it's appreciated so much because it just doesn't happen very often. I try very hard to be friendly and happy to those I associate with closely. I do have to admit, that I get kinda naughty on the highway with the idots out there - but a really, really try to keep the middle finger down

I don't understand why they are trying to hang this on one person or one group, etc. I don't think it could have ben stopped unless they had the info "we are going to hit the towers and the pentagon, etc on Sept. 11. There is just
SO many places that could have been hit--like Disneyland, ball parks, other buildings anywhere in the USA or even our interests over seas.

If you ever watch cop shows on Discovery or A&E you will find how often the FBI witholds info from local police and the local police withold from FBI, etc. I think this is pretty much what went on. And also, if you cry wolf to many times, people tend to stop listening and i bert a dollar to a hole in a donut, people would not have paid much attention--oh, it can't happen here. But it can and it did and I would not be surpised for it to happen again.

There is a reason why the FBI & the CIA don't really share info. There is a regulation that states that they Must stay completely separate & independent from one another!(enacted way before 9-11....during the OTHER ADMINISTRATION!!!) Now, they are considering combining ALL Intel. Agencies!

i dont like listening 2 the news cuz its scary but i know bin-whats-his-face is making another tape. its not 2 christian 2 think they should hang him but that creep is bad news. look how many peeps got killed cuz of him!!!!

As many as He can! I really don't know what God would say about someone TAKING bl out! BUT, I CAN SAY THAT IF I HAD A CHANCE, I WOULD! Just hope he changes his mind about worshiping a pagan Moongod, before somebody does(and sooner or later they will) Jesus died for BinLaden too!
