Just curious to know who everyone here will be voting for? I'm leaning towards Bush right now, but still haven't fully decided. I heard Kerri is going to take away all the tax cuts that Bush gave out. like the Child Tax credits if you make less than 30,000 per year you'd get 1,000 per child. but that would be no more with Kerri. I also heard he's going to reinstate the marriage taxes. on the other hand he seems very fired up about the health care issues the country is having. I really don't think he could do anything about it though. Dunno

There are a lot of "Issues" Being talked about on these Debates. It is TALK! Promises made during election year doesn't mean that it will happen. Right now, a lot of money is going to fight terrorism & Pay our troops. National security is most Important to me. NO Benefit is worth our safety & FREEDOM. If someone says that they aren't going to raise taxes, but yet give you all of these NEW & Improved Medical Benefits etc. Someone has to pay for it. Alot of the Family benefits WILL disappear, as a "LIBERAL AMERICA" takes over. Liberals are not interested in "Marriage Taxes" staying. Kerry has a LONG record of raising taxes. When you are financing a war, you must understand that it costs, & You have more expenses. After 9-11, things cost more, businesses went out of business. that is because of the Attacks, not because of who is President. I am more concerned about the security of our country than anything else. We will not stop the Terrorists with talk, we will not stop them by seeking "ALLIES" that will not stand firm & fight with us(when they break under the blackmail of the Terrorism, we take many steps back. We must look at who our REAL ALLIES ARE. Those who don't want America to crumble, so that they are #1(I am speaking of the EU-England EXCLUDED) England is our friend. But, I heard the French & German Leaders say that they want America to faulter("America does not deserve to be #1 World Power") THEY DO! This was said BEFORE 9-11, on DW News(European News program.) When our $ goes up in value...their Euro Dollar declines in value. When our Stock market goes up...their goes down. According to the EU Rules/Laws, when the EU countries Economy declines, that EU Country has to pay heavy fines. WE SHOULD NOT RELY on the EU or ARAB LEAGUE in the UN to decide when we are in danger or not. Whether we are in danger or not. Russia is having a big problem right now with the UN, because they want to go out side of Russia's boundries to hunt down & bring to justice the Baby Killers that killed the Children in the Russian School. If you remember Russia was one that stood against us in our war on terror. It is proved, that AlQuaida is fighting our Troups in Iraq. The same group was involved in the Russian School Murders. I would never Vote for a person who will put the decision of OUR Country'S Defense in Another Country's hands(especially when those countries would gain if we are attacked/destroyed) The other Issues, I have to Vote, not for a party, but for the Moral Values that I as a Christian claim to believe in. If I am a Christian, I am a Follower of Jesus. Even in my voting... What would Jesus vote for? It ALL comes down to that. Before Parents vote, You need to read the headlines today, about the INFO> that was found on the Terrorists/Iraq about the Schools here in America, 6 states, 8 school districts. That is what they have found so far. No doubt in my mind that they have more...I will vote for BUSH.

The Threat of terrorism is here...Iraqi-Born Man Arrested on Weapons Charge

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Federal authorities arrested an Iraqi-born man on illegal weapons charges during a sting operation prompted by the man's alleged threat about jihad.
Ahmed Hassan Al-Uqaily, 33, allegedly paid $1,000 for two disassembled machine guns, four disassembled hand grenades and hundreds of rounds of ammunition supplied by an undercover agent working with the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force, authorities said Friday.
He was arrested Thursday as he placed the weapons in his car, according to an FBI affidavit.
The investigation began in August after an acquaintance of Al-Uqaily told federal authorities Al-Uqaily wanted to buy weapons. The affadavit said Al-Uqaily told the informant he was angry about the state of affairs in Iraq, was ``going jihad'' and planned to blow up something.
During conversations with the informant, Al-Uqaily ``expressed animosity towards the Jewish community'' and discussed ``two Jewish facilities in the Nashville area,'' but made no specific threats, according to a release from the Justice Department. Authorities declined to say which facilities were mentioned.
According to Nashville police, Al-Uqaily was arrested for assault in 1997.

Rosemary your right. I think I will be voting Bush. the terrorism thing does scare me and I'm really thinking Kerry is kind of flip flopping and I know that the terrorist are watching this election more then we are even. I watched them talking tonight and while I do think Kerry is very well spoken I just don't feel good about him for many reasons.
as for right now I'm one who depends on those Child Tax credits and It's the only thing that helps take some of the burden off our shoulders and many others I know. all the tax stuff Bush has done I think has helped our economy. it helps families make repairs and up keep on their homes that other wise could not be done. it also helps people cloth and purchase the things their children may need but might not have afforded other wise. thats what helped us put a storm shelter in last year, we needed one all this time but did not have anywhere to go if something came up fast. now my family can be safe Thanks to Bush and his Tax relief for families.
one thing that concerns me is that my sis just watche that 9-11 movie that is against Bush she really thinks she'll vote for Kerry. and she's convinced that this war should stop. yes we want it to stop but I don't think that pulling the soldiers out now and throwing up the white flag is a good thing at all.

NO AMERICAN WANTS WAR!the last thing BUSH wanted was war on his watch. Wars are expensive & unpopular. What he could have done was ignore 9-11, after all Clinton did! The Tower had been bombed before(9-11) as did the USS Cole & A Barracks by the same bunch!. Nothing was done then, so things kept building up. The enemy had more time to finish their plans. As far as I'm concerned,Clinton & Wife was too busy with Personal problems/Scandals, Impeachments etc. to deal with everything & as Bush pointed out last night, the Economical Picture at the end of 2000 was spiriling downward. The Terrorists attacks were expensive. They continue today to cost us. Business(AirLines-the most obvious)stock markets fell because of FEAR! That was their object. The Government knew about the terrorists before Jan 2001. But they also knew that once you start going after them, that it would be a long, long fight. An unpopular fight, because WE have been unwise. WE have allowed our total dependence for oil in the hands of our Enemy. The Bible says, You are a slave to whom you owe...Everything that is is your home was brought there. Everything uses oil. Our Economy depends on profit. Profit is eaten up by HIGH OIL PRICES! ECONOMICS 101! As far as Kerry, OUR ENEMIES HOPE HE WINS> Get on the net & read their sites! THEY(that are now US CITIZENS) are registering to vote in HUGE #s, they are even NOMINATING & VOTING in their Local Polititicians! The reasons why they are getting away with this, is cuz WE Americans are too busy! Too busy to notice a "Trojan Horse-Terrorist" living down the block! If I didn't have a son & grand daughters, I too would just give up & say let "America have this "Good Debater"! I don't believe that Talk will get it anymore, time for talk is over. Bush called it exactly Right, when he said the "AXIS OF EVIL"! Yet it wasn't "Politically Correct". HE told the TRUTH! But spoiled America, doesn't want to hear the truth, we have become spoiled & stupid. If it were not for the Grace of God, we would not be here today! It's time to wake up AMERICA! I vote that we send all the "Peace" advocates & Marchers" over on the next boat, to Iran to talk Peace. Kerry will sell the US OUT for a temporary fix. But they will fool him, as they did PUTIN!, The Terrorists, don't want peace. They want World Domination! That is what is in the Koran! That is what their "ALLAH" demands, before he(ALLAH)comes back! DUH! See they believe in it so much that they will murder all "INFIDELS"(NON-MUSLIM BELIEVERS). I know that to say this maybe politically incorrect, but it is Written in their Koran. michael moore sure has everyone fooled. Who is he, what is his motive & drive. You actually think he has your family's best interest at heart? A person watches a movie and believes it to be the TRUTH??? Give me a break. Like I said, America has a BIG HUGE PROBLEM! See who his backers are, see who his thinking is "IN LINE"with. See what his ethics & morals are. The man is an expert in his field. Deception! Americans need to put down their toys & take an honest look at what we've ALLOWED to happen to our Country. We've allowed it to become a GOD-LESS Nation. When we are in trouble again(like 9-11 or worse)and we cry out to God...should he answer? Or will our SINFULLNESS cry out Louder! Guess if God lets us "get away with" all of our "UNGODLINESS" then HE needs to go back & apologize to Sodom & Gomorrah. We used to claim that America was a Christian Nation. 90+% of Americans claimed to be Christian only a few years ago. Then we need to go to 2CHronicles 7:14 & 15 and do what GOD says. God's Wisdom is more precious than Siver or Gold. I don't blame the Unbelievers for not understanding what God wants us to do. God himself, will deal with them. But, I do blame Christians, for not hearing HIS VOICE. If you vote for the man, who holds himself accountable to God...He will not back, ABORTION, GAY MARRIAGES, Killing of Babies for their Stem cells. Certainly he will not put Supreme Court Justices in the Courts, who will "Make up laws" to kick out the 10 Commandments,Prayer & GOD'S NAME out of our Pledge! I don't care how persuasive of a Speaker Kerry is... Kerry when asked about his Belief in God, he said he was religious & said that HE WENT to a Catholic Church. Church Attendance/affiliation doesn't make you a Christian ANYMORE than Going to Mc Donalds makes you a HAMBURGER! Catholics are suppose to be Christians FIRST. They are to be FOLLOWERS of Christ. Christ said, "YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN", Kerry skirted the issue. He talks about all of these wonderful IDEAS, Ideas that will win him votes. But, will his IDEAS work, Clinton knew "this talk method" WOULD NOT WORK, that's the reason, why Clinton, didn't SOLVE the PROBLEM! But "the BOOKS" looked good! So Kerry said Bush "rushed to war",no he didn't deadline after deadline passed, as it had for CLINTON! Did Clinton's ignoring the problem, help the terrorist problem? NO ONLY GAVE THEM MORE TIME TO GET READY for the Attack! We don't know everything that goes on(Thank God)there are our enemies living among us...Guess we forgot that...They were here before 9-11 too. There was a report that they were being smuggled in from both out Northern Borders & South, by the thousands. A few of the Smugglers were caught, how many more are out there? There is no perfect President/Leader. But Bush has put a huge dent in the Axis of Evil, he has a plan. He has not "taken his eye off" of his task. He believes that the only real answer to state-wide Terrorist Countries is Freedom & Democracy. Afghanistan has come along way, women there are actually running for office & voting for the first time EVER! The terrorists HATE that! They hate the Idea that Iraq may be the second. The Fear is that Iranian Muslim Religious leaders will LOSE their grip on the Iranian People & they too will become a Democratic/Free Nation too. Before Afghanistan, only Israel was a Democratic Country in the Middle East. That is why this Fight against the terrorists is so important. If America wants the "Peace and safety" of pre 9-11. We must rid ourselves of terrorism. Only after that can we have a prosperous, safe country again. Bush said the other night, that we must fight terrorism, where we find it, OR we will be fighting it here on our shores again...Think about it!

I just heard a TV Reporter talk about the elections. The Last debate will be done in Phx AZ Area. He said he was confused, but this was a very important Election. He sais that while Kerry was an Excellant DEBATER, Kerry did not say HOW he was going to fulfill all of these Promises(there are no Free Lunches when it comes to all of these Benefits that Kerry is promising)and he didn't like the statement about "America having to PASS THE GLOBAL TEST". The Reporter said, We will Probably Get blown up while sharpening our #2 Pencil to take the test with! Bush is not a "Debater" and has made some mistakes, but you only find that out after the fact! Sort of like a Monday Morning Quarterback...This is Politics. BUT this Reporter finished the report making a big point. IF you want to WIN a DEBATE...Pick KERRY, IF you want to protect the country & fight a war on terrorism, Choose Bush. ONE WAY OR THE OTHER...in a few of weeks, Good or Bad it will be done...I wonder how History will write this.

Politics is a really controversial subject blink and the opinions vary tremendously from everyone I've met. I also wonder how history will write this.

Personally, I'm voting for Bush. Not necessarily because I agree with everything he's doing or everything he's done, but simply because I don't trust the other alternative. I disagree with Kerry's viewpoint on a lot of issues that are important to me.

We'll see what happens...time will soon tell.

Well if Kerry could really pull it off to get people better healthcare that would be great, but it is not possible. at this time in my life I have no health insurance for myself, I'm one of the millions that are going it on their own. however I'm not stupid I know that the problem in this country is bigger than just not having health insurance for everyone and seems Kerry has picked that issue because it is a huge problem in America, also picking desperate people grasping at straws to get by and more likely to believe anything out of the frustration of what is happening with healh care.
as I'm watching more and more I'm realizing that it looks like of the two running if we chose Kerry we'll be in a much worse situation than we are now. I figure it's kind of like this, we already know all about Bush, he hasn't done too bad for the country. I don't agree with everything he's done but I can see that Kerry seems to be sweet talking the nation right now. I learned a long time ago never ever listen to sweet talk!!!!!

I was reading in a magazine today that most Hollywood celebrities are voting for Kerry and those who do not are sort of outcasted and keep it quiet. I found that kind of odd....but, then again, what does Hollywood really promote that Kerry approves of and promises to get all those votes? It makes you think.

We are truly living in dangerous times and this election will determine quite a bit for the future. I just know and trust that God is watching.

It's very OBVIOUS what Kerry promotes, that Hollywood wants. How many movies that come out of Hollywood are "G" Rated? There are a whole lot of Special Interest Groups, that support Kerry, that are VERY LIBERAL! That kinda says it/ France & the EU are for Kerry too.

I think also the people in Hollywood want to look good. they would like for people to think that they are really concerned about the state of our nation. the jobs, war, and healt care crisis. my personal feeling on it though and this is just my own feeling, is that it is not possible for them to make a real choice on the issues, most of them are so used to living the high life they don't know how it is for real people. I want a real president. someone who won't come in with empty promises. I don't want ot hear just what makes us all feel good, I want the truth. what can the future President really do for the country? I feel like Bush is for sure being more honest. I'd rather honesty than pie in the sky dreams.

Well....I guess Mrs. Kerry insulted just about every woman who is a stay-at-home mom on the planet. What nerve and how insensitive to say that!! She may have apologized, but I think her true feelings came out on the matter.

Not only the Mothers(which is where the most important learning begins) but also Librarians & Teachers. Her true feelings did come out. Just an example of what America has to look forward to for the next 4 yrs if Kerry-Edwards is elected. This is NOT the first time she has OPENED MOUTH & INSERTED FOOT(This time it was BOTH FEET!) I am all for a woman speaking for what she believes in. But this woman has no Grace or BOUNDRIES. She needs to learn to "Tame that muscle" in her mouth. Or have a roll of duct tape around. She is prideful & Arrogant and believes that she is superior to everyone else. Wonder what she has done in her life that makes her believe this? I don't believe that an apology is really coming from her heart, just being "Politically Correct". Do the Women of this country think that she would use her position of "First Lady" to make things better for the "common-middle class, or lower economic-class women or children? I don't think so, she looks down at them, the words came right out of her own MOUTH!

oh that just burned me up . I'm a bit sesitive myself though right now. I made a choice that I would raise my kids by staying at home during the years of them being to young for school. from the time I was 19 and pregnant I have not worked. it's not the right choice for every parent but it's just what I felt I needed to do. I only have been able to with the support of my husband. now next year Desiree will be older and I should be able to start work again. i'll work only the hours they are in school. parents who stay at home make a huge sacrifice. it's hard to see your friends living in larger houses driving more expensive cars and having more financial freedom. but I have had one friend tell me that she wished she was at home with her kids. I bet Mrs. Kerry has never cleaned or done laundry a day in her life lol. I think that both working and stay at home moms have a hard time with the their decisions. either way you sacrifice. no matter what your choice you not less of a person. Wink
