Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

hmmmmI got an e-mail tonight about a Female 2 yr old Weimi that needs a Forever home. I had inquired about her through pet finders. She was in the Santa Cruz Shelter in Nogales Az(down by the Mexico Border)but they said GRACE was already taken, so I kinda forgot about her. But the people saud that she was energetic for them(if they want a calm dog a 2 yr old weimer is not the best choice-perhaps a Bloodhound!) anyway, Grace had just been separated from her brother so,her being adopted into a one dog home(the humane soc. thought) might be part of the problem. They said that she loves other dogs(so does Hannah!) and they are holding her until I decide. SO I'LL CALL THEM TOMORROW FOR MORE DETAILS.

WaveThey sent a pic this morning(it's attached) they hadn't done a heartworm test on her?! I talked to the vet who runs the clinic/shelter. She said that Grace had been turned in by a couple who had both Grace & her Brother for a year(they had adopted her)and that Grace had just been separated from her Bro.The couple said they had too many dogs?(I CAN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND ANY OF THAT) Anyway,The vet told me adoption was $65.(I had read on petfinder site that the Heart Worm test was an additional $15.00) I told the VET that she should give the vet the test and wether or not I adopted GRACE or not I would pay for it but to do it IMMEDIATELY-(I gave her my Credit card info right then) so in a few hrs I'll know about the test results. She's also going to take another pic of her & E-mail it to me. The SHELTER is 5 1/2 hrs from here, so we'd have to stay over nite in Tucson(Sun-Mon). The e-mail I got this morning suggested that they couldn't hold the dog without payment. I told her that if someone else wanted Grace that they should let her be adopted. She said that they would be willing to hold her cuz she thought we were the perfect match. I'M A FIRM BELIEVER THAT IF IT'S SUPPOSE TO BE...IT WILL HAPPEN. SO that's where it stands now.

She has a somber look, I wanna see a Happy face and a "GLOW" from her,You can tell just from the pic that she hasn't been"special to someone" in quite a while, if ever! I wonder what our bed will be like w/2 Big Weimis in it(Hubby had figured that we would end up w/ a lil rat terrier or something?!(hehehe) Hannah has an Extra large Crate in our bedroom but she uses it for"toy" storage!~ Big Grin

ClapGot an update on GRACE-NO HEART WORMS!awesome AND got another pic of her, to me she looks like she has had a very hard life,(she's 2 yrs old and from where she reaches on the person holding her she looks thin & small(not a problem!) Eukanuba & everything Hannah gets(oils & supplements, vit. etc) should take care of most of it! it's the inside(trust issues) scars that will probably take more time & work(LABOR of LOVE) so I'm gonna contact some folks up here that have more than 1 weimi & pick their brains. Both females love other dogs, are very energetic & playful. sooo I'll give it a couple of days for the doors to open & see if it's the right thing for both dogs.

ImageGrace2.JPG (22 Kb, 44 downloads) here's the second pic of GRACE!

Rosemary, she does look like she needs a lot of tender loving care. She's so thin!! Frown Poor baby. My heart breaks for all animals needing rescue and a permanent home. I'm glad she doesn't have heartworms.

I'm a firm believer also that if it's meant to be, she'll be yours. God works in strange ways but he always has a purpose.

Grace looks sad Frown I'll keep praying for her welfare and for God to give you wisdom as to what to do. Good luck sweetie Smile

At this point, a gal from the Tucson Rescue is suppose to go & see Grace & evaluate her(GRACE). Then they will let us know. We really couldn't tell from the Photos, neither could the other members of the Rescues(everyone had differences of opinion) if she needs treatment she will get it. So we have to wait & see. I will keep you posted.
