Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

I found out this morning that my dad took my grandpap to the hospital due to severe stomach pains. I just got the call about 10 mins ago that they are performing gallbladder surgery on him at 1:30. They determined that he has gallstones and that they and his gallbladder need to come out. Please say a prayer for him. I have gone through this same surgery 2 years ago, and I know that it is extremely painful. Frown

Thank you all for the prayers. He came out of surgery and was doing well. He didn't remember much of the day cause of the heavy medication and had trouble believing that it was 6:30 in the evening. The doctor said that he hasn't seen a worst gallbladder in a long time. My gramps was full of infection, and really inflamed. So I am super glad they took it out! Smile I wish I could have stayed longer at the hospital....I myself was in for an MRI of my knee, so it just happened to be a coincidence that he was in also. Please keep the prayers up, he will be coming home in a few days! Big Grin

My Mom (she's 87) had that surgery in 2002. It did take some recovery time but thank God she is doing fine.
Best wishes,
Annette

WinkYep, Annette, that's what I read" and the greatest of these is LOVE"! Jamie's had a lot goe on in the last few mo. Grandparents are greatly used of God, to teach young people about "the Greatest Gift-LOVE".

Thank you all! He is doing well today...still sore and everything, but feeling better.

Yvonne, my knee has a very funny story! I saw that Wal-Mart had kitty litter on sale for a 35 lbs. bag. So I went to get the bag since I have 2 litterboxes and a little bag goes quick. I had my bf carry it up the 3 flights of stairs, and then he handed it to me to put in the closest where I keep it. When I bent down with the bag in my hands, my knee just popped. I fell over in tears it hurt so bad. I had X-Rays, and no bone damage which is good. But they think I tore the miniscus, which is the little cartiledge between the leg bones. Lucky me huh?! Roll Eyes But I can walk on it and everything, just hurts to go up and down steps and sit with my legs crossed! They will probably have to scope it out which will put me on crutches for a few days. Yme I dont know how I am going to manage that one since I live on the 3rd floor and walk at least 3 miles a day on campus. Oh well...I will live! Big Grin Thank you for asking Yvonne!

I just got off the phone with my grandma, my grandpaps liver count is up, so they are going to do another little operation called an Upper GI to see what is causing those levels to be so high. Please keep praying!
