Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

My lower back is aching big time. It's not bad at home because I'm now using a recliner in front of the PC or when I'm sitting down, but here are work, it's excrutiatingly painful when I have to sit longer than an hour. I've had to leave work early quite often in the past two weeks.

I know prayer helps Big Grin I would appreciate it.

I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but I have a very sore lower back. I took the day off from work to just rest in bed -- not even sitting on the recliner is helping me today. I miss everyone but I have to stay put. Thanks for keeping the board busy and hope to be back soon. Hug

When my back really hurts me I find a nice hot sauna something with a lot of bubbles and powerful jet stream. 15 mins in that is great. I also bought one of those homedics bathtub jacuzzi thingies and its great if you have enough hot water. Have you ever gone and had a deep tissue massage? Oh man I had that done for 6 months twice a week and it completely eliminated the pain from my ciatica(sp?) and helped my back tons. At least until I got cocky and over did it lifting stuff. I hope you feel better soon. But for now get a good book (I am reading that Bourne Supremicy thats a wonderful book if you are into suspense and mystery)or just relax and catch up on your movies.

I use the "Family Dollar Store" Brand of HOT ICE, it's $1.50 per jar(at first you don't feel anything, but with in 5 min. it starts to work!) ESPECIALLY, if you take an old towel & cover the area where the Jel was put! I'll tell you, when I was in therapy, before the last 3 serious surgeries, the therapist used to rub, in FLEXALL 454 & cover with towels. This cheaper version works twice as well at a fraction of the cost! This Hot Ice, fixes me up with in a half an hour! Pain gone. The trick here is: to have some one to apply it, so you can lay still & let the stuff work, have the time to be still & let it work! You really don't want to move after it's applied, cuz it feels sooo good! I refuse any pain meds at all. The Doctor is amazed, that all I use is IB Profen, mostly for the swelling(internally inside my back.) Barbi, Bad backs are painful...You need to take care of it and not worry about other things. You are in my prayers! hug2

Thanks for the prayers Smile I'm back at work today and my lower-back is acting up a little bit. I'm kind of upset with myself that I'm going through these aches and pains ordeal. I've always been healthy and feel that at 45 years of age, I'm way too young to have my health start falling apart.

I need to speak to my supervisor about getting a reclining chair here at work. It should help add less strain when I'm sitting.

It's amazing how many new posts there are!! Eek You all are incredible!! I have quite a bit of catching up to do. Yvonne, I'll load that avatar for you early tomorrow morning. Sorry it's taken so long.

Sorry that your back is bothering you Boss Frown I've known ppl my age that had a bad disc etc Frown.

I can't pray for you but I can sure HOPE your back troubles go the heck away! Are you allowed to do abdominal exercise? I know you are a very slim lady but how strong are your abs? And whatever you do, don't stop moving around unless your Dr tells you to.

My abs are flabby but thank God I don't have cellulite or folds of skin. I'm allowed to do abs but I lack the motivation. Yme I hate crunches.

Lately I've been feeling better. I've cut down substantially on sitting in front of the computer. Hopefully my lower back will recover and I can once again start updating CFP -- it's been static for the past few months. Yme I want to also start featuring a new pet, but don't want to start something I know I won't be able to keep up with due to health reasons. You could say: I'm being extra careful with my health.

How's Gus' back? You said he has more or less the same problem.

I hate crunches too, lol...can't fault ya there. Unfortunately, I'm a complete fat @$$ now. Gus has a degenerating disc :O. My mom has had back troubles too. I've had this weird pinched nerve thing for like 2 years, sigh.

I wonder if you can strengthen your core muscles without horrid situps/crunches...hmm.
