I use the "Family Dollar Store" Brand of HOT ICE, it's $1.50 per jar(at first you don't feel anything, but with in 5 min. it starts to work!) ESPECIALLY, if you take an old towel & cover the area where the Jel was put! I'll tell you, when I was in therapy, before the last 3 serious surgeries, the therapist used to rub, in FLEXALL 454 & cover with towels. This cheaper version works twice as well at a fraction of the cost! This Hot Ice, fixes me up with in a half an hour! Pain gone. The trick here is: to have some one to apply it, so you can lay still & let the stuff work, have the time to be still & let it work! You really don't want to move after it's applied, cuz it feels sooo good! I refuse any pain meds at all. The Doctor is amazed, that all I use is IB Profen, mostly for the swelling(internally inside my back.) Barbi, Bad backs are painful...You need to take care of it and not worry about other things. You are in my prayers!

Thanks for the prayers I'm back at work today and my lower-back is acting up a little bit. I'm kind of upset with myself that I'm going through these aches and pains ordeal. I've always been healthy and feel that at 45 years of age, I'm way too young to have my health start falling apart. I need to speak to my supervisor about getting a reclining chair here at work. It should help add less strain when I'm sitting. It's amazing how many new posts there are!! You all are incredible!! I have quite a bit of catching up to do. Yvonne, I'll load that avatar for you early tomorrow morning. Sorry it's taken so long.

Sorry that your back is bothering you Boss I've known ppl my age that had a bad disc etc . I can't pray for you but I can sure HOPE your back troubles go the heck away! Are you allowed to do abdominal exercise? I know you are a very slim lady but how strong are your abs? And whatever you do, don't stop moving around unless your Dr tells you to.

My abs are flabby but thank God I don't have cellulite or folds of skin. I'm allowed to do abs but I lack the motivation. I hate crunches. Lately I've been feeling better. I've cut down substantially on sitting in front of the computer. Hopefully my lower back will recover and I can once again start updating CFP -- it's been static for the past few months. I want to also start featuring a new pet, but don't want to start something I know I won't be able to keep up with due to health reasons. You could say: I'm being extra careful with my health. How's Gus' back? You said he has more or less the same problem.
