It's so hard posting this.

Angus hadn't eaten but about a cup of food in the last couple of days.
Yesterday he stared thowing up bile (about 9 times between yesterday afternoon and this morning). Of course I called the vet this morning and got him in right away. But before I left I noticed that he was bleeding from his butt He was severly dehydrated and needed to be put on an IV. Our vet didn't say too much except that she was very worried about the bleeding. Of course her not saying much has me extremly worried.

Needless to say we are going to see him tonight when Mark gets home and see how he is doing so I will let you know asap.
Please pray that this is not his time to go to the RB. He was in really bad shape this morning and didn't even give me a second glance when I hugged and kissed him goodbye

Pray hard for him if you pray, if not please send him good thoughts and vibes that he comes home soon.

Here's an update:

They are pretty sure what's causing the bleeding is a mass in the area of his stomach so he will be having exploritory surgery tomorrow. This is what she told us:

It could just be a non cancerous mass and will remove it.
If it is cancerous she will call me and tell me what his chances are.
If they find it's cancerous and it's spread she will call me (they would then just put him to sleep).

I feel like I've been on a rollercoaster ride all day long
The good news is that he was feeling a little better tonight after some fluids (they had gave him almost a whole bag).
He even did his famous head twist when he heard our voice
We got to go in and be with him and even take him out for a walk (which he loved!). I hated to leave him but I know it's in his best interest to stay there. If we brought him home he would just get sick again from having no fluids. So tonight he stays there. And honestly, he didn't seem too upset. He got right in the kennel and layed down. And of course I took a couple of pictures but I didn't have the digital so I have none to share.

Please, please, please keep my boy in your thoughts and prayers that it's not cancer and he gets through this surgery fine.

Anna - prayers galore go out to you and your precious Angus. I know you must be going through such anxious moments, I'll be thinking about you and praying your boy will be OK!!!!

I'm going to pray with all my heart that it's not cancer. Oh Anna, I wish I was there to give you both a hug. Spiritually, I'm with you 100%. Angus is special to all of us.

Anna, I think he knows that he needs help. He loves & trusts you. You are really doing the best for him. You have to know that he would not want you to worry your self sick over something that you can not change. Get some rest & take this one step at a time. We are waiting for your news. We will remain in prayer.

I was hoping that we would have some news already. We're thinking of you & Angus & hoping that all is well

He seemed so much better that she thought that he was going to be able to come home this morning, but he didn't
He looked so good yesterday

But not nearly as good this morning

He had bad black tarry poo last night but luckily no throwing up.
I did get to take him for a long (about 15 minutes) walk this morning and he had diarreah (sp?) again His eyes were getting droopy again and they were hooking his IV back up as I was leaving. I spent about an hour and 1/2 there just loving and petting him.

Dr Young said she's totally decided against any kind of invasive procedures after seeing his mobility. He is very wobbly and has lost alot of weight. His shoulders are now sticking out as he walks and his butt looks ever so small

I asked her what she would do if he were her dog. She said to be very honest she would put him on steroids, a new antibiotic and the coating agent for his intestines they have him on now. If he's feeling better tonight or tomorrow morning they will let him come home. She asked me if him having diarrah would bother us...of course not. We would cover up anything we have to just to have him home and she was glad to hear that. She thinks him coming home will make him feel at least a little better.

So needless to say we will never have an answer on what's wrong with him.
The way I feel when she talks to me is that what little bit of time he has left, she wants him to spend with his family.
I honestly don't think he has much, but who am I to say.

I wish I had better news. Sorry I write a book evertime I post but it seems like I have so much to say. I feel like this rollercoaster ride will never end.

Please keep the prayers coming and I will let you know when I have any new news.

Anna, please don't be sorry for "writing a book" when your posting.......I totally understand you having alot to say right now. I am just so sorry we don't live closer....I would definatley be at your home ASAP to give you a big hug. Angus is in my prayers, sweetie.......

I'm getting ready to go to bed and just wanted to let you all know that our big boy is home
Needless to say we're thrilled and so were the girls. And he was one happy camper too!
He's still not out of the clear yet, but we're praying that he still has some time left on this earth with us.
Of course we took alot of pictures and videos (not a digital camcorder though ) so I thought I'd share them with you.
