Hi, we're so glad you're
visiting.
Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.
The CFP Forum is officially "inactive"
-- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it. All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.
Something really sad happened tonight, My brother & law lost a barn to arson, or that is how it appears and I am sure that it will be proven to be arson, It just burned way to quick for it not to be...In the barn was everything they needed for the farming, Three tractors all the plows, machinery of every kind, a jeep, all the hay everything...gone !!! I know you are thinking hay...hay burns quick...well there was hay in only one part of the barn....It is no less than 500 thousand worth of stuff...please say a little prayer for him....This is so sad...We are just devastated !!!! It is nearly 3:00 am I better try to get a bit of rest, I'll keep you updated. Love you all

Oh Mechele, that is awful I hope they catch whoever did that. How devastating to see everything you've worked hard for destroyed. I will certainly keep him in my prayers.

Your family needs some prayer. I also hope they had some insurance. You didn't say they lost any livestock, so I take it, that the building was strickly tractors, farm impliments & mechanical stuff& ofcourse the Jeep! If no life was lost that's a Blessing!

Thank you all and yes he did have insurance and I am sure it will replace everything but you know the sad part is that he is pretty much doomed as far as getting his crops out this summer...just way to late in the game to try to round everything up. You see he usually raised anywhere from 80 to 120 acers of tobacco per year ... He is a big time farmer...he has his own green house that he raises his own tobacco plants in, the seeder and all of the trays that he uses to do this with was also in the barn....There was just a massive amounts of stuff in this barn ! Gosh it just makes me so so mad He also raised patatoes and sold them to the public and all of his patato bags were in there as well. He owns his own garage & tire business and the tractor tires that he sells to the public, he had just put them in storage in the barn last week , nearly 10,000.00 worth there...Just makes me so mad that someone would do a man like this...he has been in my family for 26 years and I have watched him work from sun up to sun down and beyond. I have seen him come in a many of a night at 10 pm and my sister would carry him a plate of food to the living room and he would be so tired he would fall asleep before he even ate...and he would get up stumble to the shower and then on to bed w/ no supper...he is one working man and does not deserve this by no means Sorry for venting ....Just so angry !!!
