Hi, we're so glad you're
visiting.
Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.
The CFP Forum is officially "inactive"
-- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it. All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.
Once again I am shedding tears for a lost family member, Ginger Snap, who belonged to my son & daughter-in-law. Two and a half years my hubby and son met up at the bloodbank to donate blood and there was a box outside with two little brown puppies in it. When they came out there was only one left. They couldn't leave her, so son decided to bring her home and find a good home for her--they already had 2 dogs. But he and my daughter-in-law fell in love with her and named her Ginger Snap because of her color. Their pet name for her was Cookie.
She was a shy, sweet little girl and when their baby came along, she was so good with the baby. Yesterday afternoon son went out to mow and saw her slip under the back fence where she had dug a hole. He hopped in car and drove around, but couldn't find her. He drove around a couple more times before he had to go to work at the aquarium at 5:00. Daughter-in-law and I drove around later on. Son was up early this morning looking for her before going to work. I came to town to keep Maddie. Son got home from work and we drove around looking for "Cookie" and we found her in a yard on the next street over. She had been hit by a car and killed. He and my daughter-in-law have taken her out to bury her at the sea lab part of the aquarium where he works.
She was not my dog, but I was here when son & hubby brought her home, I watched her grow up, played with her, was kissed by her and I truly loved that sweet little dog. I am going to miss her. She was my favorite of their dogs because she had the most gentle eyes (to match her temperment) and was so sweet.
My Friend, was it not you that shared this wonderful piece with me not so long ago? It touched my heart. There's a lot of things that I do & don't believe about our pets, when they die. I won't argue about what other's believe or choose not to. But, I know that God loves animals. He went through so much thought to make all the many kinds & put in their minds all their "secrets" of their individual specie for their survival. Man's first job was to care & name each one. And God said that HE knows when even a lil sparrow falls. He said that He feeds them too! He also said that HE would give His Children the desires of our Hearts, He is the One who PUT the love in our Hearts for our Furbabies....There is a part in this lil story that speaks of this. I will post this here, so others can listen to the music & read it.TURN ON YOUR SPEAKERS http://wtv-zone.com/nywoman/PAGES/page13.html

How sad! I'm sorry for your loss. At least, she had a happy home when she was here, god only knows what would have happened had she been left in that box.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this. I can't even imagine how they are feeling right now. A friend of a friend's husky just got out the other day and was hit also. So sad when this happens
I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers while they go through this hard time in their life.
