Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

Okay guys, I am really excited and just wanted to let you all know that one of my hermit crabs has dug under the sand and been under there for at least 24 hours, so I think this is my first molt for any of my crabs! I'm so excited but this is a very stressful time for a hermit crab, so I hope he pulls thru, oh yeah, the one that went under is "Bob". lol

Well, I thought Bob was going thru a "molt" but after 48 hours, he resurfaced, *sigh* lol A molt is where they shed their old skin and have new, it's a very stressful time and a lot of hermit crabs don't make it thru. Bob seems to be doing fine now and not showing any signs of molting, so we are still waiting for our first molt!
