Hi, we're so glad you're
visiting.
Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.
The CFP Forum is officially "inactive"
-- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it. All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.
I thought I would share some pictures of my Chameleon Peaches. Peaches has had a VERY interesting life. She belonged to my sister. When my sister moved to South Carolinia it was only natural that Peaches went with her, so Peacehs made the 10 hour drive down to her new home. When they got down there my sister found that between her new job, her boyfriend, her apartment she never let peaches out of her cage and didn't seem to have enough time for her. My sister loves Peaches, don't get me wrong. So what was she to do? So she called me up and asked me if I wanted her. Now I'm madly in love with Peaches and of course said yes. So we went to South Carolina that weekend and brought Peaches back up to PA with us. I can't imagine my life without her. Such a lover she is. She will just sit with you for hours and look at you. She does have a problem with walking of edges like if your holding her on your hand she will walk right off the edge and fall to the ground, so I'm always very careful when holding her and sit on the ground so she won't fall. Well here are some pics of my pretty girl!
She got mad cause I went in her cage today and Blew herself up and hissed at me.
I'm gonna eat you!
Killer Lizard!
and this is the large cage Peaches lives in. She doesn't have alot of plants of anything yet but were working on it.
Hope you enjoyed! Ash

Peaches is cool, I am a reptile owner myself. I have Dragon a 2 year old female African Fat-tail gecko. I heard Cameleons are hard to take care of and very delicate, is yours? Dragon is fairly easy to take care of as long she is kept warm, her cage kept clean, and she has acess to plenty of lively crickets.

VERY VERY difficult, defintily not for the first time reptile owner, although I am a first time reptile owner, lol. She requires so much special care and special needs it's crazy, lol. Peaches is also VERY expesive.
Peaches herself cotst $99 The cage was $200 Her lamps are $60 Her Soil $10 Her plants $50
now that she is full grown she is worth about $200, although I wouldn't sell her for anything.
Thanx for all the nice comments! I love my baby girl so much!

Dragon is about 7 inches long full grown. When I let Dragon, out I hold her for her own safety. Thier are too many places for her to get lost and also my other pets might hurt her.

Oh dear, that photograph tells a story It does look like your pet is upset. What an interesting pet to own. How do they feel to the touch? Is their skin rough? It is amazing the variety of pets on here.
Gloria Beware: They are EXPESNIVE. They can't live in a tank, they need to stay in a wire cage costing around 200. A chameleon it's self scost about 70-90 dollars. The plants cost about 60 dollars and the lamps cost about 50 dollars. Plus they eat about 5 to 7 dozen crickets every week. Chameleons also do not like to be held much and is rare to find one as nice as Peaches. They need to stay in a warm room, although there lamps do a pretty good job at keeping them warm. Also, do TONS of research, they are a delicate species and are very hard to care for. Also they live up to almost 10 years so they are a comitment.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask!I'm sooo exited you are getting one!

Thanx Liana!

He has determined that it is not such a good idea. After doing some research, it does indicate on most web sites that they are a delicate species and not for first time owners like us. Both he and I would worry about its health. I would love to see more of your photos.
