Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

My hubby came home on his lunch break, spent about ten minutes with Sassy and then told me that he was going to take her to a different vet, so he called another one here in town, and my daughter and him took her there. I guess the vet took one look at her and said that she has liver failure. He said it is either from an infection or old age. He gave her a shot, sent us home with some liquid medicine, and some special food and told us not to get out hopes up, but there is a slim chance that she could pull through. Keep us in your prayers. My hubby asked him how he knew it was liver failure, he said that she has jaundice, her skin and eyes are yellow too, now looking at her, I can see it. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but it's kind of hard not too, you know what I mean? lol I am keeping close to her though and playing mommy nurse! sick2

It Blesses my Heart to hear that your Hubby is also trying to help with Sassy. What ever the outcome you know that you've done all that could be done. I will keep your whole family in Prayer.

Thank you both for you kind words! My husband is a big softie and a huge animal lover! I trusted the other vet and thought that there was no need to take her to another, but my hubby said that he just couldn't live with himself if there was something else we could have done! He was even late back to work but said he didn't care, she's just like our other kids to us! She's part of the family! Makes me fall in love with him all over again though.............. Wink
