Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

Things are still pretty hectic here from the move...PLUS, trying to deal with a very demanding 10 month old!! And having to use dial-up makes it even harder...the pages load SO slow...Frown Hopefully things will get a little more normal here and we get high-speed internet again. I miss posting here and I miss you all! Hug

It started getting quiet right after I had my surgery in mid-June. The lack of updating on the site may have a lot to do with it, but I honestly do not have the money, time or energy to keep at it right now. The only pages I have been updating is the Adoptable Pets section and the main site photo and forum header.

As most of you know, I was laid off recently and started an e-commerce business, GiftBargains4u.com. This is my bread and butter - per se - and it is taking a substantial amount of time I used to dedicate to CFP. I have to give it 300% of my efforts to take it off the ground. Fortunately, God is helping. The Autism Society of America selected GiftBargains4u.com for their holiday fundraising efforts.

I've thought of taking CFP offline, but I would miss so many of you tremendously. Frown

It's hectic for a lot of us to post lately, but as long as we touch basis once in a while, it doesn't bother me at all that only 6 or 7 of us (out of 200+ members) post on a weekly basis. Friends remain friends and friends keep in touch even if we don't post on a daily basis.

**Hugs** right back at you!! Christine, it's been so wonderful first you sharing your pregnancy with us and now seeing this cutie grow before our eyes. That's what friends do, regardless of how many times they post during the week.

Boy are you going to have your hands full when Tyler grows!! I'm talking major girlfriends!! He's got such a cute, cute smile!

Awww, thanks Barbi....I think he's a cutie, too! Big Grin

You know, I already have my hands full now!! He is SO fast! And now that he is standing by himself and taking a step here or there, i'm really in for it! He's been saying mama for awhile now....well, the other night he said "dada". I had him say it when Zane got home.......and his heart just melted. He actually got a tear in his eye! I still can't believe his first birthday is coming up soon......and I can't wait for christmas!!!!! I can't wait to see his face when we put the tree up and turn the lights on....... banana

Just wait until you see the "awe" in his eyes looking at those lights!! Maggie was 6 1/2 months old on her first Christmas (26 years ago) and I still have not forgotten her expression on that day. How she would reach out to touch the lights and smile!!

Isn't motherhood awesome!! I should have had 10 more children. I love my babies so much!!

BTW: Tyler will still be your baby at 26.

You know, sometimes when it's quiet and it's just the two of us I talk with him and tell him.."You're mommies baby, aren't you? And you'll always be mommies baby, even when you in your 30's!" Big Grin

I tell you, I am really loving being a mom....it really is the best!!! I'll be sure to get LOTS of pics of Tyler at christmas.

Well, I guess that we have to have someone get Pregnant(who loves to shop & disappear in malls-LOL)Someone else have a bunch of pups to name. Someone get us all excited with them buying a house. Someone else adopt a dog. Someone else get Married & tell us all about the wedding plans etc! I've been "attached at the fingertips" with CFP for over a year now. The First year was very exciting, almost too exciting at times! Guess I got really spoiled! Anyway, There are so many things going on in everyone's lives right now, VERY IMPORTANT things. We just have to be patient, even though it's so very hard. I just want to know that everyone is okay...I wonder about folks who used to post often, I wonder if they are okay. So I say an "unspecified prayer" for God knows what they need.

Oh Rosemary, I wonder about those same people too. Frown It's kind of sad when they dissapear and leave you wondering "what happened?". I just hope they are all okay and someday they'll return to say hello.

Oh I've been attatched to CFP as well, it's been the only place I can find people to talk to about my animals etc. however I did make a friend from the school that loves pets like I do. I had lunch with her today actually, she's the one that gave mom and dad Lady. We had lunch at Applebees and talked for a long time about pets and kids. I'm so glad she's a really sweet person and we've really hit it off great. makes things a little easier since my best friend had moved off to Nebraska .
she has invited me to go Christmas shopping next week and I'm looking forward to it.

Never fear I am still here. I am trying to save up money for the computer program that goes with Mac computers for graphing. Thought about getting another job but I might wait until spring, since it is dark when I go to work and dark when I leave at 5pm. Don't like driving at night. But at least i am online and that is what counts!!! baila

Yep, Glad that you are still here, Melanie & You too Mommybop! Being on line is very important & the programs will come. I believe that some of the others will return soon. The Holidays are upon us so quick this year, can't believe how quick it came. I've started walking on the walk path while Hubby & the Girls run & play inside the Baseball field fenced area. The walk path is 1/2 mile around the field so we can all see each other. It feels really good to get the exercize too. So I come on the puter a lil later now, but I do check in 2-3 times a day. I love that lil scotty sigi very cute. Melanie, if you are still trying to sell that program, you may try Delphi sites, if you haven't already. Well, I gotta get on the housework, later! Hugs

I'm waiting on another load of the laundry to finish. I love that siggy you just posted too cute!!!! I'm so ready to get out and walk again. it's been raining all week long and will through Friday I believe. needless to say Chloe is staying in non stop it's driving her crazy and me crazy. since we put the lights back in the dog houses she's using it except for when it's raining. then she's out there looking up at the sky crying. silly old hound! she's getting into thing around the house out of having nothing to do I guess. and she goes to the window or the door and watches the rain fall and looks so sad. the funniest thing was last night at bedtime I let them out to go to the bathroom, it was pouring rain and as they ran out a huge Rat went right across the step, I screamed and it headed in the direction of their dog houses! it was so funny I couldn't get them to get back in the house they had to make sure they had chased that Rat far away from their houses. I'm glad they didn't catch it.

I hate Rats. Well the ones that come from the wild anyway, oh yes i'd like to put something out for them but for fear one of the dogs may find them I'll just wait it out. I may place some traps under the house.

I've seen 1 rat since we've been here, when we first moved in. There were waist-high weeds everywhere and under my metal shed, a squirrel then a rat moved in under it. I even saw a snake under there! INSIDE THE SHED, bugs moved in quickly! Well, we put the scented mothballs, put them into a lil net sack(like the ones that onions or tulip bublbs come in. we tied a lil clothesline rope around the open end(making it like a lil bag) left the rope long enough to tie to a stake pounded into the ground(so it could be pulled back out & refilled later)but it worked wonderfully, I don't have bugs, spiders, mice, rats, snakes or squirrels anymore! Totally safe from the girls too! This works great under Mobile Home trailers too, my friend had a problem under hers with scorpions & tarantulas, none anymore! Make sure you use the scented ones. It's the fumes that the mothballs give off that are so toxic. Keep away from pets.
