Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

On Friday feb 28, 2003 you took the life of a dog. The reason He (the dog) had issues you did not want to deal with. What wonderful parents you must be? On that day you showed your childern that live means nothing and if it does not conform to your way of thinking KILL IT!
This dog was a pup of under a year (9 or 10 months) his problem aggression. What did you do to try and correct the problem. Training from a 15 year old child with no experience and dealing with aggression. She tried and was not up to the task. She asked for advice from strangers and they fully tried to suggest options. When she came to you to try and correct the problem from a professional trainer all you could see was the cost. when an offer to take the dog from you by people who have worked with and corrected aggression in many dogs and breeds. What do you do, hide behind an excuse of Liability. When they relieved you of any Liability how did you respond. You laugh at the thought. Being the one that was offering to take the dog. It troubles me to think that Murder is so easy for you. I am a combat veteran with experience of life and death. The way you just Kill for convience boggles me. YOU have shown the childern you care for that if it is inconvient Kill it. given so many options other than murder. You chose murder.
In this day and age when everything is fast and now. You decide to show your childern that throwing away what is not convient to you is easier than taking on the responsibility of correcting the issue.

What wonderful example you have set for your childern and I fear the type of a Adults they will become. However, On a brighter side When you are suffering from some Disease that requires constant attention or will cost an amount they deem high, Your childern will chose to have you disposed of or Euthanised to save themselves the inconvience of taking care of You.

I am sorry to write this but It has been troubling me for a few days and I needed to vent. This is not to insult any one on this forum, I have left another animal forum due to a situation that will weigh heavy on me for awhile.

Strong and powerful words. No need to apologize for venting since it is YOUR OPINION which you are totally permitted to express. I do sympathize with your feelings.

I think "pet training" is a key factor is keeping so many pets alive. Quite a lot of the aggression problems are simply due to lack of training and not the dog's fault.

Barbi asked me to tell you she more or less felt the same things you felt at a situation a while back in her life. A co-worker she knew had her Great Dane put to sleep because of aggression. Barbi feels it wasn't an aggressive dog, it just needed training.
