Hi, we're so glad you're
visiting.
Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.
The CFP Forum is officially "inactive"
-- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it. All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.
I too have been really 'tied up'! And... Looks like it's not slowing up in the near future! I got involved with BUYing for a New Christian Bible Book Store here in Saint Johns. Then I thought it would be nice to get a few DOLLS for my Lil Granddaughters. I somehow have a huge collection of Dolls,am doing make-overs & repairs on them. LOL Never had but one doll growing up & now... Other News, The Girls(Hannah & Greta) are doing fine. Greta had some kind of 'reaction'/bite/sting? Last Week end(Sat). I gave her benidril & tried to reach our Vet. couldn't reach him, so I tried ANY Vet. Mine finally called Sunday afternoon. He was out of state, but said to up the Benidril to 3-25 mg. capsules every 5-6 hrs & keep her quiet & well hydrated. We did & noticed that the swelling(head & ears) went down & most of the Welts left too. But any activity at all would bring the Welts back. So first thing Monday Morning, Greta was into the Vet getting a Cortisone shot(Long acting) with in 24 hrs. She was completely back to normal. Her ears(Outer) were swelled to 1 1/2" thick. & the Inner ears were swelled, red & very HOT! He also gave me an ear medication(ZYMOX-Hydrocortisone)drops, which really made her feel good. I don't know what got her, she was with my Hubby all morning & she never Yelped from a bite or sting. It would be nice to know what it was. The Vet said that Benidril is one of the most valuable meds in a firstaide kit for Man & dog. Especially in the Summer. My Dogs are large, so consult your vet for proper dosage.

So great to hear from you, Rosemary!!! It seems everyone has been busy lately. I've been busy getting the new house organized...plus, Tyler keeps me going constantly!!
Glad to hear Greta is doing better....it's so scary when things like that happen, and you don't know what caused it! Licky got a cut on her back leg a year ago, and it was in such a strange place I never figured out how she cut it!
Hi Rosemary, I didn't know about Greta, Glad she is doing well now, I wonder what made her swell up like that? The dolls sounds like a wonderful hobby, I love dolls and have been collecting them for 15 years, Do you do fix up porcelein dolls, if you do I would love to purchase one that you have restored do you have any pics of your dolls you have done? I would love to see them !

My gosh, you have been busy! I didn't know about Greta either and I'm glad she's doing better. Rosemary, post some new pictures. I do miss seeing them.
I've been looking for a doll wholesaler. There's a big demand for that but not a lot of trusted seller. If you ever take it up as a business, let's talk.
Glad Greta is doing better. My Tiffany got a bite like that a year or so ago and did the same thing. I think she had to have cortisone shot too, but by the time we got too her she had scratched her nose really bad. Her nose healed up, but it never did grow all the hair back up on top.
