Hi, we're so glad you're
visiting.
Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.
The CFP Forum is officially "inactive"
-- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it. All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.
Here are some pictures of my pond and freshwater fish. I have 3 fan-tail goldfish, a pleco (an algae eater), and a betta (he lives in a tank in my room).

My gazing pond, where my goldfish live. The pleco lives in the pond too, but he was hiding.

Amandalee, those pictures are so colorful and pretty. Would you believe every single goldfish I've ever had has died on me I think they're beautiful but I have no clue on how to take care of them. The same thing happens to Maggie -- she's owned quite a few but they have all died.
Yours look so healthy. What's the secret?
Flame has a beautiful vibrant color. Is it true they need to live alone? They're fighters, right?

The most important thing with fish, is that their healthy when you buy them. I have had my goldfish since April and my betta fish for over a year. Also, with goldfish you must keep their tank clean, because they put off a lot of ammonia. I have had the most success with goldfish and bettas, because their hardier then most other fish. Male bettas must not be kept with other males of their species. Here is a betta community I am a member of: The Betta Obssession, also their sister site Healthy Bettais really helpful. I have tried breeding bettas rather unsuccessfully, I think I am just going to stick to having them as pets. The pond is neat, but it gets too much algae, and has too be cleaned once a week. Heres a article about keeping goldfish: Healthy Goldfish

Just in time to read what you wrote. I have never been good at keeping goldfish alive as well. My Husband got me a tank a couple of weeks ago. I sent Barbi some pictures for her to post. Did you receive them Barbi? They are colorful also.
