Hi, we're so glad you're
visiting.
Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.
The CFP Forum is officially "inactive"
-- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it. All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.
Clara you need to get your pet off of that bedding ASAP! IT is VERY dangerous to small animals. Cedar and Pine give off toxic phenols and it can even kill your hamster. You need to use a safe bedding such as aspen shavings or Carefresh. I gave you some links in the other section.....the suggestion section where I suggested there be a rodent section. Please go read those links. They are very educational and I would hate for you to cut your sweet hammies life short do to using this bedding. Thanks!

This new bedding indeed is safe. It is true that cedar and pine is very toxic for rodents, it cane asily kill them. You can add some good quality hay too to your hamster's diet as hay is good. Always check for freshness (good hay is green, not yellow and smells of tobacco). Make sure it is not moist or has no mold. Good luck with your very cute hamster.
