Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

Well we've been trying to get rid of our birds for a wile now. We don't think were are taking good care of them, well were are but they are getting mean and we can't hold them. And they bite! So my mom is giving them away to a friend of her's who has other birds and a big room were they can just go free in there. They are very noisy birds, and when we watch TV I feel like shooting them! They are in our family room. It is kinda sad to see them go but then again I am happy. We have had Sunny for a year now and the other one for about 9 months. Coockateils just arn't for us. thumbsdown

SmileI understand Kiki, I had a loud cockatiel, even with his cage covered, I ended up giving him to a friend, I glad you found someone with a bird atrium, thay way he will have lots of room to fly around in. Wink

Yeah we always covered them at night. But they are gone now. It is empty in the corner now where they use to be. I keep telling my mom that Nepolean's cage should go there now. My older sister hate him in our room. I don't know why. She is 16 and she is a girly girl. So I guess I know why! Big Grin But it does feel good to have them gone.

Cockatiels need a LOT of attention, as I have one, which is probably why he has started biting. They're not the type of bird you can keep locked up in a cage all day. Same goes for the chirping; they're very vocal birds. Next time, research a bit more before you decide to go out and get one, for the animal's/bird's sake.

I'm glad the birds have a new, loving home.

Sunny has always been very loud! But then when we got Nemo Sunny always talked so Nemo started to talk. But we could never get Nemo out of the cage becasue he bit so hard. We always thought of selling just him but we never came around to it. But before we got Nemo Sunny was real nice, we always brought him out. And he would take showers with me. It is a shame the other bird was mean, we have tried to train him but he has drawn blood. To late now. I sure they are happy now.
