Sorry it took so long to reply but I have been looking through the site and I have just found the forums Great site! I am the proud care giver for a Weimaraner dog named "Gus" When they say dogs are Mans best friend they weren't wrong - actually they could have said man/women's best friend but never mind. Gus is my best friend - he is there when I'm happy and there when I'm sad actually Gus follows me everywhere and I like it that way. I received Gus as a birthday present from my Boyfriend when Gus was 3 months old and we have all been a great family since. Gus is now 2 years old and we just couldn't imagine life without him. My partner does a bit of duck hunting and Gus just loves it. He is a city dog and doesn't particularly like sitting in mud so he takes dads deck chair - well he thought that dad brought it for him seen as though he takes the entire couch at home Thanks for welcoming me to your forums and I look forward to sharing photos of my boy and seeing photos of your furry loved ones.

Hello Monique, I'm Hiram. Gus is one good looking dog. Barbi and I attended a Dog Fair last week and it surprised me to see how large Weimeraners are. I expected them to be medium size, but the ones that attended where large in size. Truly remarkable fur color on them. Someday down the road we expect to be owned by a Great Dane and a Weimeraner, although I also fell in love with the Shelties that attended that Fair. Gus looks alert and has quite a stare. What is his personality like? You are welcome to post more photographs and it is great having you with us.

Excellent photographs in action. Now from these photos I can see his size and that's about the same size as the ones I saw at the Fair. Spectacular breed. CFP featured a Weimeraner named Tilli a while back. I believe the member posted a new photograph of her in one of the forums and as an adult she resembles Gus in the fur color. Gus looks mighty playful. I know I will enjoy looking at his pictures and reading your posts.

Gus definately has a mind of his own. He is quite dominating and stubborn but he's a big softy deep down. He's incredibly intelligent and can sniff his ball out no mater where you try hide it. He's always in for a cuddle and sometimes plays myself off with my partner - depends who fed him that night. He is absolutely fantastic with children and is a great guard dog. Hahaha Sounds perfect right! I think so Haha well he does tramp mud through the house and he eats all the fruit off our trees. He likes to give you kisses after digging his nose in the mud and he likes to stare at you while you eat your dinner. I guess nobody's perfect - I actually think he could point out more problems in my personality than I can with his.

Aww, you see why I want one!! What a stunning beauty he is!! Hi Monique, I'm so happy you introduced yourself and your fur-kid. Gus is amazing!! I was going to mention about the Weimer I saw at the Fair but Hiram beat me to it. I fell totally in love. That bottom picture is hillarious!! Let's get this beauty lined up for featuring for a week. What a treat on the eyes he'll be for our viewers. And as to this quote: Hahaha Sounds perfect right! I think so Haha well he does tramp mud through the house and he eats all the fruit off our trees. they love us as we are -- certainly not perfect -- so digging or no digging, chewing or barking, we still adore them just the same. I'm glad you're as crazy about Gus as we are about our fur-kids. You'll feel very comfortable here.
