Hi, we're so glad you're
visiting.
Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.
The CFP Forum is officially "inactive"
-- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it. All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.
Hello, my name is Sandra and I live in Texas. My Hubby and I have 2 grown sons and 3 small grandkids. Hubby is long haul truck driver, so most of my home time is spent with our 3 dogs and l cat and aquarium of fish. First, the dogs. Buck is a 9 year old golden retriever and we got him when he was 6 months old. Then there is KayCee. she is a 4 1/2 year old golden. We got her and her littermate brother, Hunter when they were 7 weeks old. Unfortunatly we lost Hunter to AIHA last Oct. 6 weeks after he received his 3rd ProHeart6 injection for heartworm prevention. I still cry for him every day. KayCee still misses him. She has had problems also, luxating patellas, which required surgery on both knees, a year apart. However, she is doing great now and can run and play. Then there is Honey, the golden mix we adopted on Pearl Harbor day 2002. Even tho she was suppose to be heartworm free (according to Humane Soc.) and had been given a heartworm pill the day before we got her, when I took her into our vet a month later, she proved to heartworm positive and had to go thru the awful treatment and 5 weeks in a cage. But now she is fit as a fiddle and a bundle of energy. Pippi our cat is 15. Her mother showed up at my brothers, very sick, very pregnant. She had the kittens (6) a couple of days late but couldn't care for them. My brother and his wife fed those kittens every couple hours round the clock for a couple of weeks. One did die. I fell in love the only female, so took her. What can I say about my danios, tetras, and other fish. They swim around.
Welcome Sandra. My name is Barbi and I just love it when my members beat me to their introduction post. Great to have you with us.
Sorry to hear about Hunter -- it's weird, but I've received emails stating that injection needs further looking into. I've been meaning to do some research on that.
My fur-kids are in my signature picture. I would love to see photos of yours. Please let me know if you need help in posting them.

HELLO Sandra! GLAD YOU MADE IT HERE! BEEN WATCHING FOR YOU! you will enjoy CFP, and I'm glad that you brought the info. about Hunter also. If it saves even one furbaby, then Hunter's death won't be invain. Barbi, it's not Weird, it's Rose! We need to educate ourselves, we really can't depend on a "safe label"or for that matter, always the FDA(it's been proved when thousands of horses died it was an"OOPS" for them.

Thanks Rose, and thanks for the invitation. I just e-mailed you some stuff that was sent to me concerning how that drug company operates. I reckon that weir (I have no idea how to spell that) is your furbaby? Beautiful dog....errr...baby. I sometimes tend to forget mine are really dogs and not human. That is what happens when they are in the house with you all the time. Heck, we even have to spell some words so they won't know what we are talking about. Again, thanks
Hi and welcome, Sandra!!!!! I'm owned by a sheltie named Honey, a lab mix named Licorice (or Licky for short) and a crazy kitty named Mee Mee. Plus, I am the proud mommy of Tyler, who you see in my signature pic! He will be one month old this coming tuesday. Looking forward to getting to know you!!!
Yep,Sandra, HANNAH, weimaraner, is her! I know all about the spelling thing, Hannah's not caught on yet, but our Heeler, Cricket(now gone to the Rainbow Bridge- see the section)understood every word! We even had to misspell "cow"to C.O.Y. and OUT was OUP( actually there were lots of words we had to misspell) so she wouldn't go nuts! cover your ears Mr. Webster! I'll go check my e-mail!

She doesn't have a "workable" puter just now. So she uses the library & Her son's when ever possible. She's been trying to get on, and she'll try again.
