My furbaby is prone to ear infections. The vet said to flush her ears out once a week with a 1/2 and 1/2 mixture of white vinegar and _____? Can't remember if he said rubbing alcohol or hydrogen pyroxide??! Please advise. Thanks!

I use those wet baby wipes with aloe. then a "drying solution" afterwards. I also give Hannah 2 tablespoons heaping of Natural yogert every morning(by mouth, ofcourse!)I didn't believe it worked, but she went from having ear infections all the time to NONE. I use low or non-fat & plain.Bigtime Kennels recommend it. Greta is allergic to everyting, so we don't do her, but she has very lil ear problems. The Wetwipe(I use the generic ones from Walmart are easy & you can use them pretty far down with out hurting the dog.If the dog has ears that hang down & Cover the ear, try cleaning them, then try, making the dog lie down with the ears open to dry out.

I use the baby wipes to clean as much of the inside of the ear as possible, but I also have an "ear wash" I got from vet.
