Hello everyone,
Meet Edna, she is a 2 month old Barred Rock Pullet (young hen). I adopted Edna, when my Mom bought some more chicks and they choose Edna to pick on because she was the smallest. Edna has been seperated from the other chicks for about a month now and she does not want to have anything to do with the others now because she does not think she is a chicken anymore. She has adopted me as her caretaker and protector. She follows me around the yard and sits on my hand and my knee when I sit on the ground. I have had a pet chicken once before, when I was a child I had a bantam Mille Fleur rooster that rode around on my shoulder.   |
