Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

These are brand new pics of my new pet rats! The one with the lighter coloured head is Ipa, the darker head one is Copa Smile Named after Copacabana and Ipanema beaches in Rio! Ipa and Copa are 4 weeks old, female and sisters.

How cute!! Barry Manilow fan, hun? I like those names Smile Lalania, be glad they are both females. A long time ago I owned 3 hamsters (male AND female) and within 4 months over 60 of them were born. Those were my wild, irresponsible teenager years. lol

Are rats treated -- and do they behave -- pretty much like hamsters? They look tame.

rats make a far, far better pet than any other rodent. They are affectionate, trainable and are intelligent Smile
I've had hamsters, a mouse, a gerbil and rats before too and the rats by far were the best pets.
