Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

Hello everyone,

Here are some more pictures of my horse BeBop. To answer Barbi's questions about how intelligent a horse is, put it this way their pretty smart. I think their just as smart as a dog, if not a little more intelligent. Their capable of learning quite a few tricks, I would eventually like to teach some to BeBop. When I was younger, I had a old bay Quarter Horse Gelding named Wimpy he knew how to let himself out of his stall if you did not put a hook on the gate. Also Wimpy would pick up his top lip and smile at you like Mr.Ed. As far as Be-Bop, I think he knows his name because I can call him when he is out in the pasture and he comes running; also he knows the schedule concerning when he gets fed. Mom wistles at him and he comes to that too.

Hi Gloria,

With good care, horses can live 20+ years. Some live longer, Seattle Slew the famous triple crown winning race horse lived to be 28 years old. He died last year. Peppy San Badger, a famous Quarter Horse Sire and show horse is 29 and still going strong, he lives on the world famous King Ranch in Texas.
On very rare occasions some horses do reach 30.
