Hi, we're so glad you're
visiting.
Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.
The CFP Forum is officially "inactive"
-- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it. All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.
I thought I would post some pics of my goldfish: Larry, Curly, Moe, Leonardo, & Sparky. I have had Larry and Curly for a year. I will have Moe for a year at the begginning of the school year this year and I have had Leonardo since last January. I have had Sparky since May. I have some more pics in my album in the gallery at www.goldfishparadise.com, my album is called Amandalee's Animals.

Hi Barbie, There is really no secret, it's just giving them the right care. Goldfish need room, at least 10 gallons per fish. Bowls are inappropriate for goldfish, if you want a fish in a bowl get a betta. This is true because goldfish grow big and put out a large amount of waste, so its very important to have a filter system and do water changes. I am a member of the goldfish community: www.goldfishparadise.com, they have many helpful hints and articles on goldfish keeping. If you take good care of your goldfish, you will have them for many years to come.

How interesting! Everyone(where they are sold) tell you that all you need is one of those lil round bowls! You always see them at the fairs & carnivals-where you pitch the lil pingpong ball into the bowl.(Which I see as cruel!) It makes sense, what you say Amandalee. I would think that if you want to keep them around for a while and think of them as a living creature, instead of a "temporary amusement",You would get them a Proper PLACE TO LIVE,be healthy & HAPPY too. Just as you would a furbaby! ***The pic that I attached is the kinda bowl, that you see a Goldfish most often in,,,,Even the Cartoon fish doesn't look that happy & DOES have a snorkle on!
