Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

Our 13 yr old Lhasa Apso had to be put to sleep this evening. He had a stroke. I wasnt able to post pictures before, I didnt have any scanned. I just found this one.

We took him to the vets office when I got home from work. It was the worst thing I have ever had to do.

On the way home, my son and I saw a double rainbow. I cried so hard. We live in the desert. It hardly ever rains here. We never see rainbows. But on the way home, we saw one.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I am still teary eyed this morning. I am at work, so I am trying to maintain composure. When I read your nice words, I started crying again.

Aww Cheryl, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's such an empty feeling when our pets cross the rainbow bridge. Rest in peace dear Opie. He was a beautiful doggie.

Hi Yvonne, yes, I have a 9 mon. old Golden Retr. named Toby and a 10 yr old Siamese cat named Cecil. They are the most active of our household. Sweet Opie didnt do too much his last year of life except sleep. He was getting very tired.

Here are Toby and Cecil. I couldnt add Opie to the banner, we didnt have any digital pictures of him.

Isnt it hard when they get older? I knew Opie was nearing the end of his life, but when you see a once active dog, sleep 23 1/2 hours of his day, its sad.

CryingSo very sorry about your sweet puppy. God Bless you Cheryl. It's the hardest thing to do, but it is the most loving thing you can to is send your beloved to the Bridge when the time comes. My sweet Spence went on June 19th and I know your Opie and Spence are playing together. Bless You!!!!
