Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

We just got a GSD as a rescue a couple of weeks ago. He's elderly and his name is Ryu.

It's great that you're rescuing more dogs. This is great breed, it will protect your property as well.

I have always heard that Siberian Huskys and German Shephards are difficult dogs to have, yet Anna makes it sound like Roxey is an excellent pet, and you sound like you mean the same.

Can you elaborate? Are german shephards difficult? I have always heard that they bond with just one person in the family making them dangerous to the others since they do not see them as superior.

WE haven't had a problem. He's pretty low key and likes to lay around in the house.

Well, sort of when I brought Sox home and she had a maggot in her side that had to be dug out and she was so full of worms that she pooped worms for 3 days and then six months later Mike brought Tigger home when someone brought him in to where Mike worked at the time and said that if someone didn't take the dog they would shoot it...and the rest is history. All of our dogs have a story to tell. I just wish we could save them all!

Mugsy, what happened to that dog Sox sounds horribly gross. You are to be commended for rescuing him and all the others. Maggots? eek Gives me chills just thinking about that.
