Hi, we're so glad you're visiting.  Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.

The CFP Forum is officially "inactive" -- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it.  All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.

For those of you who own Chihuahuas I have a question. doggy I usually give Mya a few little scraps of meat when we have it for dinner. Well last night she had about 6 small bites of steak and right when we were going to bed got really sick to her stomach. sick2 And threw up all over my sheets. She kind of did the same thing last time she had steak. And its only with steak. Dunno She's fine with Chicken or pork. And I don't give her very much of it either just as a little treat. Does anyone elses Chihuahua have this prob with steak?

she could be allergic to it, or too young to PROPERLY digest it. Maybe the Enzymes in her stomach can't digest it yet. Beef is a big trigger for allergies I'm told. She is very young so I think that it's just too hard for her to digest.

I give Lulu steak and she loves it. I have noticed that when she "gobbles down" something she really likes (such as steak), she spits up at times. Chihuahuas tend to eat very fast, which is not good for their stomachs. When I hand-feed her tiny pieces (one-piece-at-a-time) she's fine.

Tobi doesn't have a problem with any food. He's also a fast eater but hardly anything upsets his stomach. He loves steak.

Buffy and Mia eat table food as well. I don't believe steak is a problem for them, but I'll ask Maggie when I see her this weekend.

Jasper is a really big pig, he loves steak but i do cut it into tiny pieces because he is only 12 weeks and has tiny little teeth so cant chew much if i would give it to him in to big of a piece he would just try to swollow it whole.
