Hi, we're so glad you're
visiting.
Welcome to the CFP Pet Community.
The CFP Forum is officially "inactive"
-- I am exhausted and just cannot keep up with it. All our wonderful moderators and buddies who wholeheartedly participated with me in this forum also have busy lives and -- one could say -- we all got burned out talking about our fur-kids for years. It got to be pretty addicting, but life and reality has now taken over. I love you guys -- enjoy reading the posts OR if you want to register and say hello, please do not expect an immediate response or a lot of replies. God bless and please take care of your fur-kids.
My husband Johnny brings food and water down to the neighborhood cats daily and has been for years. One of them we named Pretty for obvious reasons. She came around in November a few years back and sometime the following June, she had a surprise for us…3 kittens! Oh were they adorable. One looked just like Pretty and we named her Bright Eyes because of the way she looked right at you when you talked to her. The place where we feed them is in a school yard across the street from our building behind a huge iron fence. I would play with them every day through the fence with a little plastic toy to get them used to us with rescue in mind but they were very wily as wild kittens can be and we could barely touch them. Then, for about a week, we didn’t see them and of course worries start to fly. Then we saw them safe and sound and were very happy. It got us to seriously pray for their soon rescue. The next day we were downstairs playing with them and trying to figure out how we were gonna get hold of them and all of a sudden a young woman and her mother walked by us on the street. The daughter was very downcast and then she said: “Look Mom. Kittens!” I told her we were looking to rescue them and she said that she and her mother were just coming back from an animal shelter. They were looking for a kitten but there wasn’t one there for them. I said: “Would you want one of these?” Her face lit up and she said “Mom?” and her mother said: “Yes.” I climbed up and reached in behind the fence but Bright Eyes was too quick for me and slipped away. Then the Lord said to me: “Be bold. Just grab her.” I stuck my hand in and just grabbed her. It was amazing. This was the first time she was ever held by a human and when I brought her close to me and held her, she snuggled her little head under my neck. I actually didn’t want to let her go but we did believe that Nathalie and her Mom were the answer to our prayer. How amazing that they were walking by just at that moment looking for a kitten. Anyhow, I placed Bright Eyes into Nathalie’s arms, got her phone number and called for a few days giving her some tips to help Bright Eyes settle in which she did very quickly. She was a special little one. Within a couple of weeks Pretty, Misty, Smokey and their dad Sammy were all rescued. We have Sammy up here with us. We also call him Dennis the Menace. As I am typing this he is running around the house like a little kook. Annette
I did post these pictures somewhere else but I thought, since they were in the story, I'd let you see them all here too. This is Pretty (Bright Eyes Mother) and Misty(her sister) who got rescued a couple of weeks later. Annette
What a wonderful story and what a beautiful kitty Would you like for CFP to feature it? We have a "Pet Story" section and I'm sure our viewers would just love it.

Sure Barbi. I'd love it. Thanks for the offer. This is Johnny and Sammy. Hope you don't mind the "no shirt". It was August. Anyhow, would appreciate prayer for Sammy. Yesterday he was a bit under the weather and still hasn't bounced back yet. We are trusting in God's power to restore him. Love to all, Annette
